Housed on the site of the former Joo Chiat Police Station, our boutique hotel is an interesting juxtaposition of modern architecture and a conservation building (former Joo Chiat Police Station), featuring a unique design inspired by the Peranakan culture, with everything from the art murals to the tiles in the 131 guestrooms paying homage to the neighbourhood.

Unwind with a dip in the rooftop infinity pool overlooking the whole of Singapore’s first heritage town as the sun slowly sets behind the Katong skyline. Baba Chews Bar and Eatery is located in the former Joo Chiat Police Station, a conserved building in Singapore's first Heritage Town. Open all-day, the restaurant serves Mod-Sin (Modern Singaporean) dishes & Western classics.

Baba Chews is a restaurant inspired by our neighbourhood. The name pays homage to Chew Joo Chiat, a local Chinese landowner and philanthropist, for his contributions to the community. Our restaurant sits on the site of the former Joo Chiat Police Station, which was granted conservation status for its architectural and heritage value. Open daily till 10:30pm, Baba Chews serves a diverse menu of Modern Singaporean dishes and Western classics alongside quality brews.

Be surprised by the view that awaits you from our rooftop infinity pool that overlooks our vibrant neighbourhood. One can enjoy the unblocked view from our infinity pool due to the Urban Redevelopment Authority's (URA) guidelines that require conservation housing in Katong/Joo Chiat to be not higher than 5 storeys.
